This article describes the process used by a network of federally qualified health centers to develop and implement access policies to electronic health records (EHRs) for adolescents. In the age of the EHR, balancing adolescent confidentiality with the need to involve parents in adolescents' care can be challenging, and this piece shares the strategies and results of the networks' efforts.
