The rates of HIV transmission are high in the transgender and gender non-binary community. Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) is an amazing new tool that reduces the chance of HIV acquisition by 90% or more. Why are the rates still so high with such an effective medication available? This module covers: Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) basics, barriers to care for transgender and gender non-binary clients, as well as ways to provide PrEP counseling and care in a gender affirming manner to those clients.
