Description

The CRAFFT is a well-validated substance use screening tool for adolescents aged 12-21, recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics’ Bright Futures Guidelines for preventive care screenings and well-visits. This website allows users to download the tool, in several languages, and provides step-by-step instructions for its use. The Provider Guide, developed by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Bureau of Substance Abuse Services, provides additional resources to efficiently incorporate the CRAFFT, brief advice, and referrals for further evaluation and treatment for alcohol and other drug use into routine adolescent visits.
